About Us Mr. Shyamrao Bapu Kapgate, a former MLA from Sakoli district in Bhandara, passed away on December 21, 1987, at the age of 70. He was known for his social work, advocacy for farmers and the underprivileged, and his life dedicated to philanthropy, widely recognized by many in Vidarbha. His work and memory have been constant in Maharashtra, particularly in his field of work, Sakoli, and the Bhandara district area, inspiring future generations to continue receiving continuous inspiration for social, educational, and cultural activities. In pursuit of his desires and the concerns of well-wishers, a public trust was established on March 10, 1988, through a unanimous meeting to uplift his name titled "Shyamraobapu Kapgate Smruti Pratisthan, Sakoli".

Shyamraobapu completed his Primary Education (grades 1 to 4) at Z. P. School Sakoli and his Secondary Education at Lal Bahadur Shastri High School (Manro). He then obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Morris College in Nagpur.
